"I am telling the good news every where I can bend an ear about the glorious time God blessed us to have at Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center. There is no doubt in my mind that God opened this door for the Chi Alpha Choir to come and minister to us in song. For the first time in this Chaplain’s seven year tenure, only one other group has been allowed to come into this facility under the age of 21. It is easy to know when something comes from God, because it doesn’t require any difficult task on our behalf. The Holy Spirit goes ahead and prepares the soil for the seed. The administration commented on how well behaved and cooperative the entire two hundred guests were.
Chi Alpha Choir was responsible for the 73 souls that came to Christ on Monday the 25th of May, 2009. Because the group was orderly and disciplined, it is easy to recommend the Chi Alpha Choir of Brandon, MS to other institutions for concert performances and the like.
I want to thank you again for planting seeds into the lives of our youth, you will never know just however many souls were touched until you get to heaven."
Arthur Killingsworth, Chaplain, Cook County Juvenile Detention Center, Chicago, IL"My only regret is that I did not know before hand how awesome this group was so that I could have advertised the fact that they were going to perform in our park!"
Carla DeSalme, Six Flags St. Louis"They will be welcome here again any time. If you have the opportunity to have these students perform for your group, I highly recommend them to you."
Sister Kathleen Eggering, Chaplian, Cyndi Taylor Krier Juvenile Correctional Treatment Center, San Antonio, TX"I have never seen a choir grab the crowd’s attention like Chi Alpha. What a talented group of kids. I had more than one person come up to me to say what a talented and well-mannered group they were."
Lucia King, St. Louis Union Station"You guys are certainly not a typical church choir. We really enjoyed what you did and what you said."
Security guard, Krier Center"I just want to say thanks to you and the choir. They did an excellent job. Everyone who heard them were truely blessed. People from my community said that they need to hear music with inspirational lyrics. Nothing like your group has appeared in our community in a long time. We really did appreciate the choir and staff at both the Westside School and the Marcy community center. Please, if you guys come up to Chicago again, don’t hesitate to give me a call. For His Glory."
Stanley Ratliff, Marcy Community Center 2005They were amazing. I was really blessed by their message this morning. I’m staying for the next service just to hear them again.
