When Lauren Prince came to Pinelake Starkville she was a broken person. She had spent years in a drunken haze, turning to alcohol to find the attention and acceptance she craved. When drinking wasn’t enough she found drugs and a habit formed that quickly began to consume her life. She began to fear the person she was becoming.

In a dark moment, she felt led to download the Pinelake App. She was moved by a sermon series she found there and watching it began to change her life. She knew her life was not what it should be and that she needed to first admit that she was a sinner. She committed her life to Christ and immediately felt His presence in her life. When she came to Pinelake Starkville she felt at home. People took time to get to know her and her story. She joined a small group where people prayed for her and where she was able to open up about what God was doing in her life.

Today, Lauren serves on the worship team and is actively involved in her small group. She is making room in her heart to help other people in their spiritual journey so they can experience the same kind of love Pinelake Starkville gave to her.
