Easter At Pinelake

Easter is the hinge of history.

Jesus of Nazareth was crucified under Pontius Pilate, died, was buried, and on the third day rose bodily from the grave, seen by Mary, the disciples, over five hundred brothers at once, and last by Paul. This isn’t myth or metaphor. It’s God’s decisive act in real time.

The tomb is empty. Death lost its grip. The sting is gone. What appeared as tragic defeat, the cross, was God’s victory over sin, death, and the grave. A sealed tomb became proof of triumph. A crucified Savior became the risen Lord. A buried seed became the firstfruits of a vast harvest.

This Easter at Pinelake, we begin a new series: Afterlife. We explore both realities: the eternal life awaiting us in the new creation, and the abundant, transformed life that begins the moment we trust the risen Christ.

Because He lives, we can face today without ultimate fear. Sin no longer reigns. Grace wasn’t poured out in vain. It’s at work renewing us. Our daily work, relationships, suffering, and witness matter eternally. Nothing done in the Lord is wasted.

Easter declares: If Jesus rose, your past can be forgiven, your present can be steady, your future is secure.

Join us this Easter. Come as you are, curious, doubting, weary, or rejoicing. Hear the good news afresh: Christ is risen. He is risen indeed. There is life after death. And because of Him, there is life after that begins today.

Children’s ministry is available for infants through kindergarten. We invite older children to join their families in the service this year.

As we prepare our hearts for Easter, we invite you to join us for Holy Week Communion, a meaningful time to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus, worship together, and take the Lord’s Supper as we pause and refocus on His coming resurrection. Then on Good Friday, from 6 AM to 2 PM, our doors will be open for guided, quiet reflection through Jesus’ final hours, making space to remember the cost of grace and prepare our hearts for the hope that is coming.
