Winter Storm Fern Response

Standing With Mississippi After Winter Storm Fern

In late January 2026, Winter Storm Fern moved through Mississippi, bringing severe ice accumulation that heavily impacted communities like Issaquena, Batesville, Rolling Fork, and surrounding areas. The storm downed trees and power lines, damaged infrastructure, and left many families without electricity, heat, or reliable water. Roads became unsafe; schools closed, and access to basic resources quickly became limited.

As recovery efforts continue, many across our state are still facing extended outages, property damage, and uncertainty around what comes next.

How Pinelake Is Helping

Pinelake Church is partnering with trusted relief organizations and local agencies, including MEMA, Citi Impact and Convoy of Hope, to respond to where needs are greatest. Through these partnerships, we are helping provide water, meals, emergency supplies, and practical support to families affected by Winter Storm Fern. We are also serving alongside local leaders and first responders to help ensure resources are delivered safely and efficiently.

Our heart is to show up in real and tangible ways and to walk with our neighbors through the recovery process.

How You Can Help

In moments like this, the Church is not a building. It is people choosing compassion, generosity, and action.

Pray

You can Be The Church by praying. Pray for families without power or water, for utility workers and first responders, and for strength, peace, and restoration as communities rebuild.

Serve

You can Be The Church by serving. If you or someone you know needs assistance, or if you are able and willing to help serve, text RELIEF to 575-55 to get connected.

Give

You can Be The Church by giving financially to our Disaster Relief Fund. Your generosity helps provide immediate relief and supports ongoing recovery efforts in communities impacted by Winter Storm Fern.

Together, we believe that love in action brings hope.
