L3 Sermon

OPENING QUESTION

If you could instantly become really good at one hobby, what would it be?

GROW

This week’s discussion guide isn’t tied to a specific sermon. Instead, we will use a set of questions that help us reflect on whatever God has shown us personally. The goal is to process the message together, think about how it applies to our lives, and encourage each other to take a next step.

  • What truth or takeaway stood out to you most in the message?

  • Why do you think the Holy Spirit wanted you to notice that specifically?

  • Take a few minutes to revisit the key passage from the sermon. What does it reveal about who God is and how He works?

PRAY

  • Did the message challenge any beliefs, habits, or assumptions you’ve held?

  • Where might God be calling you to grow or change?

  • What’s one area of your life where you need God’s wisdom right now?

Take a moment and ask God silently: “What are You inviting me to do with what I heard?”

CONNECT

  • Who in your life has helped you grow spiritually?

  • How can this group encourage or support you in what God is showing you right now?

  • What’s one way we can care for or encourage someone in this group this week?

CONNECT

  • Who in your life might need to hear or see what God is doing in you?

  • How can you be more intentional about sharing your faith, story, or time with someone else?

  • What’s one way you can reflect Jesus to them this week through your actions or words?

NEXT STEP

Choose one action for this week in one of the Be The Church rhythms:

Grow: Revisit the key Scripture from the message and spend a few minutes reflecting on it this week.
Pray: Ask God each day: “Show me where You’re at work and help me join You.”
Connect: Reach out to someone in this group or another believer for encouragement or prayer.
Share: Take one intentional step toward the person you mentioned earlier, a conversation, an act of kindness, or simply spending time with them.

PRAYER

Let’s take a few minutes to pray together. We’ll keep it simple, just short prayers spoken out loud as you feel led. You can thank God for something, ask Him for help, or respond to what He’s been showing you.

There’s no need to go in order or say anything long. If you’d rather pray silently, that’s totally fine too. Once it seems like everyone who wants to has prayed, I’ll close us.

(Pause for prayer. After a few moments of silence, close the prayer time with something like this: Father, thank You for being near and for speaking to us. Help us carry what You’ve shown us into the rest of this week. In Jesus’ name, amen.)
