Life Change Story | The Dear Story | Helping Parents During the Shutdown

Beverly Dear went on Facebook and posted a status asking who needed help with childcare in the midst of daycares/schools closing, and preceded to watch church online. The sermon that specific Sunday challenged our Pinelake family to “be the church.”
Immediately after the service was over, she had dozens of comments of people in need. They knew that this is what God had placed before them! The Dears had about 14 kids signed up, and they averaged about 7-9 kids a day.

“We realized we weren’t in this alone when we started this whole thing. Friends, neighbors, people from pinelake church we didn’t even know were dropping up snacks. Papa John’s in Florence dropped off free pizza. We never even asked anyone, people just wanted to help.” – Beverly Dear

The most amazing part of this story is that Tim and Beverly Dear weren’t after any credit. Their hearts are to see God glorified in the midst of trying times. We love our Pinelake family!

WHY WE TELL STORIES
Everyone has a story to tell. But a life-change story is created when God interrupts and transforms a life. Whether you grew up in church or spent years running from God, your story is a way to share Christ’s impact on your life. Your story has the power to open people’s eyes to the power of Christ and the realness of God.

Stories give comfort and the realization we’re not alone. The person sitting next to you may be experiencing the same thing you are. What an impact and encouragement it can be to know someone understands. It may make a life-changing difference.

SHARE YOUR STORY
What has God done in your life? We’d love to be a part of capturing your story and sharing it to minister to others and give glory to the work of God in your life.
