God adopted us into His family and gave us a new identity in Jesus. As a church, we have long had the vision to share that love by caring for the overlooked and reaching out to those forgotten. On Sunday, October 30, we took a step to care for the overlooked by partnering with Compassion International to sponsor children in the country of Colombia.
Our goal is to sponsor over 3,000 children in the country of Colombia and since Sunday, October 30, we’ve had over 1,000 of you sign up to be a sponsor. Thank you for joining this cause. Because of your generosity, over 1,000 kids in Colombia will have the opportunity to live a life beyond poverty.
Now is the time if you haven’t sponsored a child or have been on the fence about it. There are over 2,000 kids still waiting for someone who will invest in their future. It’s easy to get started. All you have to do is click below and sponsor a child today. Together we will reach our goal and see the country of Colombia change one child at a time.
For over 70 years, Compassion has been an advocate for children, working on releasing them from poverty. Through a holistic approach to child development, they carefully blend physical, social, economic, and spiritual care together…in Jesus’ name.
Compassion works through local churches in Colombia to identify needs and make sure the right kids are receiving support. Because of this partnership, children will receive education, life skills, health care, love from the church, a relationship with a sponsor, and most importantly the opportunity to hear the gospel.
Compassion is church-driven, Christ-centered, and focused on the child.
Through Compassion, Pinelake is partnering with two local churches in Colombia with the ultimate goal of discipleship.
In the country of Colombia, 30% of people live in poverty with food insecurity and insufficient education.
Compassion addresses the massive issue of global poverty at the micro level — through local, indigenous churches that minister to those in desperate need. Through our partnership, these local churches are best suited to address the needs of the children in their communities because the churches are already located and involved in the communities.
When you sponsor a child in poverty, your sponsored child will be linked directly to you. You’ll learn about your sponsored child’s life by sharing God’s love and encouragement through letter writing, photos, regular prayer requests, and information on local crises that affect them. Our Pinelake Missions Team will send teams to Colombia, giving you the chance to visit the child and their family.

Changing the life of an individual child doesn’t affect just the child. That child changes his family. His family changes his local community. His community changes his country, and enough changed countries change the world.
